During the first three weeks of September, we will continue with our sermon series on being a loving Christian community. In Matthew 17:22-18:35 Jesus teaches what it means to live in a Christian community. There is an underlying theme of love. However, love does not stand alone. It is joined by other necessary actions, attitudes, and behaviors. Love is made real through sacrifice, flexibility, humility, sensitivity, going after the one, confrontation, and compassion. Through insightful stories and teaching, Jesus cast a vision of what it means to live in a Christian community that is both encouraging and challenging.
