Show the Love of Jesus

When we know the love of Jesus and are growing in the love of Jesus we then want to show the love of Jesus to others. The Gospels are full of stories where Jesus shows his love to those in need, the sick, to children, to the religious, to the nonreligious, to the hungry, lonely, really to everyone that he encountered. At Covenant Church we are committed to sharing in the practice of showing the love of Jesus to others. We have opportunities to do that inside our church, in our community and around the world.

Music Ministry

One way we show the love of Jesus to others is through leading in worship. Our music ministry is always seeking new additions to our various music ministry teams. Join us in one of the following:

Covenant Choir provides special music during many of our worship services. They also lead special services during Christmas and Easter.
Bell Choir plays throughout the year during morning worship.
Modern Music Team plays each Sunday morning.
Special Music is provided by those gifted in singing and playing and an offering to the Lord.

Community Service

We have various short term and long term service projects we take part in here LaGrange and Oldham County. Keep watch for announcements about ways you can be involved. Some of the things we engage are involved with:

High Point Ministries: A ministry to the poor in the community, including food and clothing ministry.
Backpack Blessings: A food program for children at LaGrange Elementary School.
Food Box Ministry run by two of the children of Covenant Church.
Laundromat Ministry where we pay for peoples wash and provide food for people in the community.
Other short term ministries.

Missions

Covenant Church supports and participate in mission work beyond our local community. We support missions in Africa, South America, Thailand, and here in Kentucky. We also have teams that travel to various places that have needs. Watch for news as to how you can support these missions or become part of a team.

Sharing & Serving

There are lots of ways you can be involved in sharing the Love of Jesus with others here at Covenant.

Children's Ministry: We can always use help teaching Sunday School, Children's Church, preschool, nursery and scouting.
Youth Ministry: You can help our young people know that there are those that care for them and listen to them.
Adult Ministry: There are always opportunities to lead, serve or teach in short term or long term adult ministries.
Hospitality Ministry: This is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus through food, drink and conversation.
