Have you noticed a list on our newly remodeled lobby wall? It is a list of virtues we seek to instill as the people of Covenant Church. Our church is a place where those who have put their faith in Jesus expect to be transformed. That transformation changes how we think, what we do, and how we act. There are some core virtues or qualities that we desire to embody as individuals and as a church.
Drawn from Scripture, these virtues remind us what it is like to live as the people of God, filled with the Holy Spirit and embodying the fruit of the Spirit. We must cooperate with the Holy Spirit to express our faith in concrete and evident ways. The list hanging on the wall is a reminder of just some of the ways we honor Jesus in our daily lives.
Starting in September, we will study a key scripture passage that helps us understand why these virtues are essential and how we can live them out daily. Join us each Sunday morning as we learn and grow together as a church.
